They say that these things work best in dry climates so I'm not sure if it would work around here. I'm in North San Diego county. Just wondering if anyone in the southern ca area uses these.

There are SO many types of plastics in common use - at least 7 to my knowledge - but rarely more than 1-3 types of facilities for recycling...and no-one ever seems to want polystyrene!

Honestly, what's got into some heads...science says...hold on to a live electrical cable...turn on the switch...get an electrical shock.

same science says, genetics, DNA, evolution etc scientifically well disputed and agreed..millions of researchers confirming the natural processes of evolution.

Not one single IDT paper has passed any form of scrutiny by the scientific community...there is no argument...
Evolution is as factual as the air you breath..and the air you breath evolved as a by product of earlier earth life..
our evolution of species depends on our ability to learn how life processes work.
If we fail to accept the importance of evolution and thus ecological process, we won't keep our planet the way we need it, judging by the tone and style of answers to my earlier question, there's a sizeable proportion of people in the dark.
Our earth depends on life to moderate it's atmosphere, and the complex evolution at work is threatened by one species not interested in it.

What if we tried "shaming" people into saving energy. The energy companies could list, by address, the top 20 heavy-usage residential consumers in every neighborhood. People could see this by logging in online, or by looking at their monthly bill.
So then, people would be more energy-aware and try to do whatever they could to reduce usage and get off the top of the list!

DO WE TAKE EVERYTHING FOR GRANTED? All these things we can go and buy were in the ground. Almost without exception everything comes out of the ground. Dont you think this statement is the the most astounding thing you have heard on here?

Look at these numbers and don’t simply think in terms of space, think in terms of each person’s ecological footprint. That includes all resources, energy, waste, space, etc that each of us use.

Year-------------Human Population
0 A.D.----------300 MILLION
1500------------500 Million
1776------------750 Million
1830------------1 BILLION (That's just 176 years ago!!!)
1930------------2 Billion
1960------------3 Billion
1974------------4 Billion
1987------------5 Billion
1999------------6 Billion
Today----------6.5 Billion
2013------------7 Billion
2030------------8 Billion
2050----------- 9 Billion (that’s just 44 years from now and 3 Billion more people)
2100------------11+ Billion

Three most populous countries –
1)—China
2)—India
3)—United States

Solutions —
1)—Have no more than 2 children; 1 is better; zero is best. Large families over 2 children is socially irresponsible and morally wrong.
2)—Have children later in life to spread out the time between generations. This will slow growth.
3)—Educate others. Most people don’t even recognize the overpopulation problem, much less understand its impact on everything.

Here are some points comming to mind; The smoke emitted by burning fuel like wood, coal, petroleum products etc probably depend on the availability of these items. Pollution caused by plastic, rubber, nondegradable products may prove to be of great concern. It is not known to me whether pollution level is going to increase or decrease in next hundred years and which factor in which sector is going to bring greatest peril?

I have been hearing dire prediction of things to come because of global warming and the fact we are running low on fossil fuels sources, there is a possibility of widespread blackouts next summer.

Why aren't government buildings and all homes and commercial buildings that are located in areas that get so hot they require airconditioning required to install solar panels? Why isn't it part of building codes?

I was told it's too expensive to require that in every building.

My sister who lives in Tempe Arizona told me that many people did install solar panels but they didn't work out because when they need maintenance or repairs you can't find qualified people to do the work. Is this the true?

Well, it just doesn't make sense to me why the sun couldn't be used to cool the very buildings it makes too hot to occupy.. Any information?
