Rock and Pop

My taste in music is basically rock and metal and oldies, all of which I'm playing at my 16th birthday party, which will be co-ed, and will have a dance floor.

My problem is that I have no clue when it comes to picking music that people can slow-dance to, like couples and such?

Personally, I'd prefer bands that are rock bands that just have slow music that would qualify as "romantic/slow-dance songs", but it doesn't matter. I need a slow song to change between every 6 to 8 fast songs to fill 3 and a half hours worth of music.

So please, help me out? And also, keep it APPROPRIATE! I don't want any songs that are slow but talk about screwing someone on the dance floor or taking them back to a hotel room for some fun, or doing drugs or any of that stuff. Sex is NOT romantic to a 16-year-old no matter how much Fall Out Boy or Gym Class Heroes says it is.

I NEED HELP TO THIS SONG TITLE/ARTIST. I BELEVE THEY SAY "IM A ROCKSTAR, YES I AM" its more of a rock/pop song NOT A HIP HOP song. Im pretty sure it goes like "IM A ________ YES I AM".... It just hit some radio so I think it may be new.... PLEASE HELP!!!!

I love Fall Out Boy and it kind of sucks how EVERYONE likes them now.

And I also feel kind of like I want to keep certain bands/artists to myself. Haha.

Does anyone else feel like this?

I mean its not like I don't ever want any bands I like to catch on, it just sucks when everyone claims to be a fan.

i didnt say favorite though it might be, but doesnt have to be, just one that is really infectious

so give me the one you consider the catchiest of all time then one from the 2000's

and if too many people answer "smells like teen spirit" then just go for something more original

They need to put in a metal section. I mean, they have Jazz, Rock, Rap, Country, ect. But no Metal. Metal might be a form of rock, but metal an rock are 2 different things. Who else agrees?

In my opinon, Hillel was one of the most unique Guitarist of all time. He has his own style and sound. I do like John but the Chilipeppers music has not had the same essence since Hillel died. Hillel is my choice, Huckleberry was the man!
