Ok - this is going to be hard, I'm sure. Ever listened to a song and heard a line and said "D@mn! That's a great line!"

What's that line?

And for the love of all that's sacred and holy, please don't bother copying entire songs into your answer.

I'm looking for the LINE you think is brilliant, not your ability to cut and paste things.

For me it's "best decade ever". For music, movies, clothes, tv, hair. I love the 80's. What about you?

I am an absolute beginner and I want to buy an acoustic guitar for $200 or less and I narrowed it down between a Yamaha and an Epiphone....which one do you think is better? Along the same lines, which model of the Yamaha and Epiphone is good? I read a bit about the Yamaha F310, but now I am leaning towards the Yamaha F335, as it seems newer/better and just a tiny bit pricier. I just want a guitar that I can play pop, rock, and other mainstream songs with that is reliable and sounds good. I'm also dying to learn how to play rock songs on an electric guitar so after I get good with an acoustic one, I'll probably buy an electric one in the future. All advice, comments, help is much appreciated, thanks.

Can someone tell me whether I can play something like Somewhere Over the Rainbow (rock version) on a non-electric guitar and still have it sound good? Again I know nothing about music/guitars so please share your knowledge with me.

I am a super 80's/Classic rock fan! My favorite band is Def Leppard! I love that music, and I didn't live back then. I was born in the early 90's. My question is how many people, adults that lived back then, or even kids of today, that still like or listen to 80's rock? I am courious to see! Back than that was real music! Listen to it! Thanks for anwsering my question!

I am not asking who you think is overrated; someone could dislike the Beatles, but easily acknowledge their influence.

I'm curious to know if anyone thinks there is someone that does not deserve the credit for influencing musicians that he/she/they currently receive.

I listen to the Cure, Ministry, Leonard Cohen, the Jesus Lizard, REM, John Hiatt, Steve Earle, Everlast, and the Beatles almost all the time. I like other things as well, but these are the CDs in my car, at work and the ones that don't have dust on them at home. How about you?

I'm a huge fan of side projects. It's a way for listeners to see some of their favorite musicians break away from the formulas of their current bands and show a different side to their musical personalities. In most cases, I really dig the new stuff but I'm always happy to see them return to their original acts.

Can you think of any musicians that have done these projects and their work has exceeded where the bar had been set with their original group?

I want to make a great mix CD for my husband. He loves classic rock music. The CD will be part of the gift I'm giving him for our 5 year wedding anniversary so I'd like it to be sentimental as well. Any suggestions on lovey classic rock songs. I'm really not into classic rock but I know he'll hate a CD (no matter how "sweet") if it isn't his music taste.
Thanks!

I am looking for rock and metal bands that combines new rock and metal with old rock and metal.
At the moment I am really into Trivium- The crusade
Avenged sevenfold- City of evil

In other words something like trivium that combines 80's thrash metal with a modern style of metal.

Please help. I am so tired of bands that has forgotten how powerfull a riff is or a awesome solo can be.
