Ok - this is going to be hard, I'm sure. Ever listened to a song and heard a line and said "D@mn! That's a great line!"

What's that line?

And for the love of all that's sacred and holy, please don't bother copying entire songs into your answer.

I'm looking for the LINE you think is brilliant, not your ability to cut and paste things.

For those who are music buffs - Mine is from the Sisters of Mercy - if I give you the title, it'll be a dead giveaway. So it's off of the "Floodland" CD. Any guesses?

I think you have to hear the song to get the full context because it's just a sassy fun tune, but I totally cracked up at:

Range Life was a great one. I think if it were now it would have to be someone that had been jerks to them. Maybe the White Stripes. They, just from the photo ops that I've seen, kind of make me think they have Smashing Pumkins personalities. For STP, I'm not really sure. Somebody "foxy."

Good call on Rollins. Sound wise I never really clicked in with him, but he is a really great writer.

I only remember one lyric from Floodland off the top of my head and I doubt that's it. I haven't heard that record in a really long time. Good one though.

I'm all for holy and scared. There were loads I could have chosen from, but Henry Rollins - Shine is filled with so much positive energy. The whole song is brilliant but since I cannot show off my cutting and pasting skills, I'll go with the part that grabbed me the most.

Pavement, now those were some funny guys. I'll never forget when they made fun of Smashing Pumpkins and STP in Range Life. Imagine if they had recorded that song today, I wonder who their targets would have been?
