Ha, that's so weird, i was just thinking of posting a question about people's favourite album cover. I've got a few I really like:
Fever To Tell - by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I just love all the detail, flare, colour, verve. There's so much going on in it, and it totally, perfectly capture the band's personality. And it just looks really amazing!
The Freewhelein' Bob Dylan - by Bob Dylan. This is just a really iconic album cover, like Abbey Road, or God Save the Queen. I love the sense of mystery to it too. By that I mean, and stay with me here cause this might sound strange, I could spend hours trying to figure out what's going on in the picture, what they're thinking, what they're saying, why she's smiling...I know, I'm weird...lol.
Back In Black - by AC/DC. How much blacker could it be?.... The answer, is none. None more black...ha.
Absolution - by Muse.
Grace - by Jeff Buckley. The photographer who took this picture (Merri Cyr, I think) said that, out of all the pictures she took during the photo shoots for the album, Jeff chose this one because when he looked at it, he could tell he was listening to music when it was taken, and I just really love that idea, and i love Jeff Buckley.
Dark Side of the Moon - by Pink Floyd. Words cannot do justice to how cool this album cover is.
Sorry for getting a bit carried away, but I just love music so much, I can't help it. So are you gonna tell us what your favourites are?

Abby Road because the cover supposedly contains clues adding to the "Paul is dead" phenomenon: Paul is barefoot, with eyes closed, out of step with the others, and holds a cigarette in his right hand, though he is left handed, and the car number plate "LMW 281F" supposedly referred to the fact that McCartney would be 28 years old if he were still alive. (McCartney was actually 27 when the picture was taken). "LMW" is said to stand for "Linda, My Wife," or "Linda McCartney Weeps".
The four Beatles on the album cover, according to the "Paul is Dead" myth, represent the priest (John, dressed in white), the undertaker (Ringo in a black suit), the corpse (Paul, in a suit but barefoot—like a body in a casket), and the gravedigger (George, in jeans and a denim work shirt).
The man standing on the pavement in the background is Paul Cole, an American tourist who was unaware that he was being photographed until he saw the album cover months later

Album cover art is just not the same with cassettes and CD's. The first on that pops into my head is Some Girls by the Stones.

Abbey Road. Not so much for the album cover as it was, but for the 'Paul is Dead' symbolism that came to be identified within it. I have a framed print of the photo on my wall.
