They need to put in a metal section. I mean, they have Jazz, Rock, Rap, Country, ect. But no Metal. Metal might be a form of rock, but metal an rock are 2 different things. Who else agrees?

I think metal is a genre of rock and if they separate into metal and rock they would also have to make progressive rock and other genres separate.

Metal used to be a form of rock but modern metal has broken away from rock completely, yes there should be.

I don't agree.
Metal is a subgenre of rock.
It is therefore a type of Rock music.
I agree with what others said, if Metal got it's own section, other rock subgenres would have to also e.g. Hard Rock, Grunge, Gothic, Punk etc.
Edit: Joseph R, regardless of whether or not Metal has sub genres, it's still a sub genre of rock.
Many subgenres have their own, but they all originate from one thing.
Goodness, i used "sub genre" a lot there.

I agree. To people that say no: Metal is no longer a 'subgenre of rock'
Metal has its own sub genres now, so its a category on its own.

i aggree if there was a metal one then i wouldnt have to look through all the fob and mcr garbage that clogs up the rock pop section

I agree with you 100%. But, some stores, such as Coconuts, have Heavy Metal sections. I thought, "HALLELUJAH!!!"
