I personally like 42 Liquid Metal on XM. For regular FM stations I like WEBN in Cincinnati. What's yours?

Can't say I've listened to any rock station in the US out of California.

But I like KRTH and KGB-FM anyways. KRTH plays music from the 60's and 70's, and occasionally from the 50's. It has all the genres of those periods (includes non-rock stuff too), except for heavy metal and hard rock. KGB-FM has the typical classic rock music, with heavy metal, progressive rock, etc., but unfortunately, the signal is bad.

I sure envy those of you who live in or near big cities. In my area, there's only one crap station that plays the same things over and over again. I can't really pick up anything else unless it's a Mexican station (I live less than 100 miles from the border).

WRIF AND WCXS here in Detroit. Total ROCK, and not boring at all. We've even got Alice Cooper as a DJ, and Ted Nugent shows up too, but he can be annoying.

KROQ in LA. Owns. But I really wish they had heavy metal stations like they did in the 80's...

97.7X, Wham, the Future of Rock and Roll out of Oxford, Ohio was the greatest non-corporate rock station of all time. I still mourn its sale and loss to being just another corporate music station. It was good enough to get itself metioned in the movie Rainman (97X, wham, the future of Rock and Roll. 97X, wham, the future of rock and roll).

93.3 WMMR and Radio 104.5 WRFF in Philadelphia. 104.5 plays commercial-free alternative rock/indie all day. 93.3 has The Preston & Steve Show which is hilarious when I drive to school every morning, and they play great music all throughout the day.
