The female singer in Damien Rice's band that Sarah is talking about is Lisa Hannigan. She is really good, but unfortunately, she and Damien have parted ways, and won't be recording or performing with each other in the future.
The husband and wife duo that is Mates Of State share vocal duties fairly evenly, and they're a really good band.
Another husband and wife duo, Regine Chassagne and Win Butler of Arcade Fire. I wouldn't say it's an even 50-50 split all the time, Win Butler sings a bit more often, but on some songs, like "Black Wave/Bad Vibrations" it is.
Then there's Australian band Architecture In Helsinki, who feature both male and female vocals fairly evenly.
And some of Rilo Kiley's earlier albums too, although I honestly prefer it when jenny Lewis sings on her own.

Edit:
I just thought of another one. Fields. They're a fairly new (I think) UK band who release their debut album (I think..lol) this year, called "Everything Last Winter", which is really good. You should definitely check them out. My favourite song off the album is "If You Fail We All Fail". Other good songs on it include:

Parasite
Charming The Flames
Song For the Fields
You Don't Need This Song

Edit (again):
Sorry for the long answer, but I thought of one more. The Album "The Swell Season", by Frames frontman Glen Hansard and Polish musician Marketa Irglova. Also very good, if you like acoustic music.

Damien Rice. Though they aren't exactly a band. The female vocalist does overshadow Damien Rice himself sometimes.

Lacuna Coil
Both female and Male sing during the songs. Each have their own parts and do backup when there needed.
