I would say 95% of time I like the original version better than the cover. But this one is different. MM hasn't been able to come up with great new material of late, but not many bands do covers so convincingly. Manson gave this song some nice guitar crunch that Soft Cell never did. Hard to explain, but the Manson version sounds more menacing.

I like Soft Cell's version a lot, it's a great song. But that is a cover, too. The original is an old R&B song. It's interesting, you should check out that one too.

Soft Cell did NOT record the original. It was originally recorded in 1964 by Gloria Jones.
I like Manson's version better...

I like the original, but Manson did do a good job.
