80,000 attend a Patriots game. After the game, the fans are so excited that they decided to organize a party for each day for a year. They decided that, on each day, if it was their birthday, they would return to the stadium at noon to celebrate. Why would at least one party have more than 200 people?

I'm at my wits end with one of my fourth grade students. She is a sweet girl but lies to me every single day. I feel like I cannot trust her with anything and I really don't know what else to do. I need to let her know her actions are wrong in a way that will effect her. Any ideas?

hello all. before i ask my question i want to make something clear so that i am not misunderstood by anyone: i enjoy teaching. i think that it is wonderful and i am very passionate about it. there is no feeling like that of wonder and understanding when a student finally gets it. i'm currently an undergrad and i'm planning to make teaching career in the future.

but i'm also a practical person and money really is important esp in singapore where costs seem to be rising every second. (eg GST hike from 5% to 7%) what i like to ask is this: does the salary for teachers increase every year? if so what is the rate of this increase? and in your unbiased opinion, is the pay scheme fair? the moe webbie doesnt tell me anything about pay increment and i would really like to know.

i hope that i dont come across as someone who thinks about money all the time. practicality is the driving force of this question and i would really appreciate it if you guys can help me out.

thanks all!

I've always wondered. It may seem logical in some ways because they won't too many distractions with guys but won't this make them crave guys even more?? It might depend on how much they're "boy-crazy" but is it true??

Are there any studies shown to prove this?

Thanks! I'm just curious!

My dilemma is in whether or not I should reveal the crush at the end of the semester (after grades have been turned in). (I respect teachers a great deal and I am aware of the ethical boundary that cannot be passed, if I reveal my crush I do not intend to act on it). I hesitate because I will be a student in his department next semester (but not in his class), and my imagination tells me that I might already be that student that gets talked about in the teachers lounge (paranoia?). So, I ask what others think are the benefits and risks of revealing my crush?

All dialects of English are equally good. Socially the other dialects are stegmatised and thought of as 'bad' . what psychological effects does that have on children with different background dialects ? then is it fair to grade them solely on thier grammar rather than the ideas ?

I'm gonna graduate next month n' am considering the Jet Program to teach english to Japanese kids. Problem is:

1. I've never been abroad and am a little scared, okay a lot scared

2. I want to correspond with someone whose done the program recently

3. I'm wondering if it's a "sham" or the real deal - I don't wanna get sold into sex slavery or anything like that, lol

4. how can I make the program work for me, so that I get into the best school and housing situation?

P.S. please don't suggest reading the Jet website cuz I did that already! I'm looking for personal experience with this issue....
