Why do people choose physical education as a career?

it is for the ones who are adept at sports and it is important too and less demanding academically so you can get a degree without too much intellectual ability or effort.

I wouldn't say it's "easier." In college, phys. ed. majors must take quite a few science classes because they also teach Health (at least they do here in NJ). While their paper load is less (especially compare to me, as an English teacher), they often have very large class sizes. Quite frankly, I wouldn't want to deal with the chaos of having 40 kids in a gym class. I do have in-laws who are phys. ed. teachers, however, and they love it. They are very active people who (in addition to not being as A-type as me) enjoy participating in athletic activities with their students.

They're going to college to say they went to college. Plus the are to stupid to learn a real educational subject.
