He is always interested in playing, when ever i tell him to study he gives onw or the other excuses? but in other things he is intelligent. he scores very bad marks. i've put him with a tutor, but even that is not helping

Get a "rewards" notebook (or sticker chart if he is younger than 8). Put a check in the book every time he completes a homework assignment. For rewards, add up the checks. 10 checks can mean - tv privilege ona school night...25 checks means weekend trip to the movies, friend's house, skateboard park, whatever... then have the BIG prive out there... 150 checks means a new video cartridge...1000 checks means a Wii. Make him work for the good stuff.

How old is your son? If is quite old and he really doesn't want to study, you can't really force it on him. But try to talk to him slowly about it.

You have to force him . Just shout to him then when he is smart give him lots of rewards.

and let him make u he like after studying as a quest for his work

spare the rod and spoil the child. believe in this, if u can't control him now, wht will happen when he's all grown up ?
