The policy at most schools is zero tollerance for bullies yet the adults seem to be the biggest offenders. Shouldn't they be held to the same standards?

Our college is coming up for exciting times and we are expanding to a 24/7 364 college. There will be different learning opportunites for the students. We are still very much at the planning stage. The working party that I am on are considering the needs of learners. Any suggestions you may have would very much be appreciated.

I grew up in NYC and in most cases a blizzard would not shut down the schools - and delayed openings never occurred. Yet in New Jersey, flurries coat the road lightly with snow and we have a delayed opening.

The biggest problem a child faces in the schools in India is the language. He/she speaks one language at home and other places while he has learn the things in English at School ! In this way, the child is not able to discover the things in a natural way - many of the enlish medium students cannot speak a proper english is a irony. What one does is thenis to rely on remembering the things rather than understanding and appreciating.Though it is true that one has to know english in order to get a job but that should not mean that a child loose all the wonderful things which would have been very thrilling if the primary education was done in once own mother tongue.

I have had social anxiety disorder for years and when I was in high school, I avoided areas with large, or even small, groups of people. Naturally, I missed a lot of things I wanted to do, like Homecoming games and dances, and most important, the Prom. I'm married now, and too old (schools out here won't let you go to prom with a student if you're over 21), so I can't make it up. I really need to find a way to get past this, so if anyone knows of a site where I could "go to the prom", please let me know.
I am trying to get some closure. I have been being treated for my social anxiety disorder, but I pretty much lost 6 years of my life. I can't just "get over it". Please leave only constructive answers.

Almost everybody I know who has gone to college has not had any success in the job market.
I did not go to college, my boss did not go to college, but my co-worker, who is paid the same salary as me, spent $100,000 to go to college. My father retired making twice as much as me (just below 6 figures) and can't even spell. The three most successful people in my family never even graduated high school!

I just read a question where the asker wanted to know what to tell a prospective employer who asked him if he felt he was overqualified for the job, based on his education. The indication was that he was too inexperienced and/or overqualified for everything.

With that in mind, plus the cost of student loans, doesn't going to college provide the same chance for financial success as not going to college?
