Well, if you could get away with unplugging the phone, that would be a good option. Of course your Mom may need to use the phone and discover that it's unplugged. She would totally know it was you that did it! lol Of course you could always just say that you did it the night before because some girl was supposed to call you. Other than that, I really don't see an option except turning the ringer off if you could do that unnoticed and erase the caller ID when you get home if you think that will work. Boy, they never called home in my day. I graduated in 94. Yup, looooooong time ago!

Type out a letter saying that the school is testing the automated system and that they are required by law to do it once a year. Have it say that it will be calling on tues, the whatever it is of Jan or Feb and give her the letter and tell her she needs to sign it. Have two boxes, one yes and one no for her to check if she does or doesn't get the "scheduled automated call." Then have a place for her signature and a date that the letter needs to be returned. :)

Male: Can always do what I did, in fact there are two options. 1. Say you got caught in the zipper right after homeroom, never fails they send you home (cant legally look at it for you, lol). 2. Go to home room so you don't show absent or late, then from a cell or payphone call saying you are your parent and have a Dr. appt. Hustle to class and get called down to the office to leave.
Female: This is what I took from my sister when we were both in high school. 1. Say its that time of the month and you have a heavy flow, our school always sent her home. 2. Same as male but obviously you cant say you are your father if you are a woman, lol.

Why do you "need" to ditch?
You will get caught, so you just need to bone up and decide if the consequences are worth whatever it is you are ditching for. I bet your mom would be more impressed if, when she asks you about it, you just come out and honestly tell her that you ditched and why. Every adult was once your age and believe me we can ALL relate to whatever it is you are going through...not that you won't get busted, but at least you wont be a sneaky liar!
good luck.

What should you do?
Go to school!!! If it's a friends thing where you drink smoke ie..., don't do it. Don't allow yourself to be eaten by peer pressure. If you have to skip school for a good cause, tell your parents but I wont guarantee success. Try bargaining with chores around the house. Last option, disconnect the phone.

I would reccomend going to class...but hey one class isnt going to mean fail or pass...liten up people.
When I was in highschool (graduated in 2006) there was a certain amount of total classes you could miss the entire day before they would call your house.
Find out how many classes your school does and skip that class and go to the rest. If they dont do that then your just SOL.

Maybe you shouldn't be ditching school. I hope when your parent finds out they kick your butt. No one has a good enough reason to ditch school, to be dishonest with your parents. I hope you get caught. It still goes on your tardy record, or missing school record.
