What does pre kinder actually teach the kids. Is it how to write thier name, abc's? What is it goof for? Why send them when they can just jump to kindergraden?

I have a four year old little girl. I am not sure if i should put her in pre-k. Due to the fact that its only half a day.Also even if she does not go she will still start kindergarden next year. Right now she is going to a PCI (parent child incorparate) school. Its a full day pre school. What should I do? Is there a difference or has anyone been threw this problem? Please help me.

For my nursery open day Build-a-bear have kindly donated a white fluffy rabbit with hair bobbles over the ears and wearing a fluffy white dressing gown.

We are hoping to do "Guess the rabbit's name?", any ideas would be fantastic - we are hoping to do a "twinkle twinkle little star" theme so any star names .
