We did - now I can see any doctor I want, free of charge. I get a year off, with my job guaranteed and a cheque for 33% of my income if I want to have a child. I get the same amount for 4 months if I get layed off due to lack of work. I pay more for my taxes, but it's worth it!
Eventually, we separated and got our own constitution too!
It's called Canada!

Aw come on now. You are sitting at a computer, most likely have electricity, running water, a job, a car, a bunch of debt, possibly your own home, you eat regularly. It used to be considered crass to whine and complain, but now it seems to be a really cool thing to do. I love America warts and all. Somedays are better than others, but we still live in the most wonderful country in the world.

I think USA did much better without Great Britain, the only country that did actually and as American we should be proud of that without trashing GB. The British are very nice people, for those who visited their country and be open in differences. Most of your answeres are from people who are ethnocentric and ignorant. I am not British, I am Asian.

Nope
The food alone is enough to answer that one.
Don't get me started on the apparenaces of the people.
And then there's the whole "divine right to rule" thing they know as royalty (although most of our presidents are related to European royalty, and so we're not really free of that, now are we?).
Yep, I'm glad I'm an American.
