And they show up late?

So, I've been to college for years and I've never gone. Today, I have an appointment with one. Originally, I thought the job of a student adviser was to figure out schedules, give advice on classes, and help with the student's career track. So, I was going to discuss that with her but now I'm worried that I got an appointment with the wrong person! Help! What is the purpose of a student adviser and what type of questions are usually asked to them?

Thanks!

The cost of this school is $1,134 per 4.5 quarter unit course. I have no idea what this means in terms of how costly it will be.

I am a Psychology Major at a community college, and I have always gotten A's and am in the Honors Transfer Program. This was my third semester, and the first time I took 4 academic classes. Before I took three classes and one art class because I wanted to minor in art. I don't work and haven't gotten much opportunity to do things in clubs.

I am considering transferring to UCSD, UCI, or maybe Berkely.

The class I am most likely going to fail is, and thought I would get better so I didn't get a W in time, is Trigonometry, and is not counted for credit by the UC system, but is a prerequisite for Calculus classes which are required for my major in UCSD and UCI. However it is not required for Berkely or UCLA.

Can I re-take Trig when I have a D? And if so, how is that going to hurt me when I try to apply to a UC? Pre-Calculus requires a C or better for Trig as a prerequisite.

I should also add in that I already took Statistics, and have gotten in an A in that as well.

98' graduate that has worked in the HR/Recruiting field for 7yrs and been passed up for promotions due to lack of degree is tired of being a workhorse for employers.

Never pursued college because never knew where to begin. Almost 10yrs later realizes I need a degree.

Where should I start? Who do I contact? What do I need? What test do I need to take?

Is San Diego State University a bad school? I am going there to study pre-medicine, and I am also going to do the honors program. If I graduate with a high GPA, would I be able to get into a medical school such as UCSD?

I also got some B's and an A.
I plan on applying to pharmacy school one day, will this look bad on my transcript? Should I take the classes over again?, because at my school we have something called forgive and forget, where we can retake the class again, and the better grade will be calculated in our gpa.

Hi there,
I want to do an MBA and can't decide if I should go to a top school or an average school. I want to know if it's worth going to a top school. I am not rich so would have to get a loan in both the cases. The top school costs aout 60K and an average school is about 20K. I would gain a similar skillset while studying this program at any of the school but when it comes to getting a top notch position the employers will look at the "top school" grads as opposed to average school grads. Then it also depends on my ability to communicate and show my skillset regardless of which school I have graduated from. The advantage of working in a top school is that I get a chance to study and compete with big executives, whereas in an average school I will be competing with average people like me. If I work with people of higher calibre then I could learn more from them as compared to people of my level. So the question is, should I go for a top school or an average school?
Thanks everyone
