Thinking about taking my degree overseas. Which school would benefit me more in the EU?

They are both known internationally -- and would be viewed as equals. If you want ot go into the life sciences, I would say choose Johns Hopkins. For anything in the liberal arts, I would suggest Brown.

Personally, if I weren't from the US but was coming here to study, I'd choose someplace other than Providence or Baltimore to live.

If you are good enough to get into one of those two schools, I'd be thinking about Harvard, Princeton, Penn, Columbia, NYU, Stanford or Duke.

The better school is the one that's going to offer the classes you personally need and want in an atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable (or at least less inclined to question why you ever thought becoming a doctor was a good idea). If you haven't already, go on some campus visits and sit in on classes. Cost is a somewhat negligible factor, since they're both expensive private schools, and you'll be stuck with plenty of loans anyway by the time you're out of med school, but stop by the financial aid office while you're there.
