I'm a Navy wife and I just recently relocated overseas with my husband. I'm trying to register for online classes here, but I am slightly confused. I spent 2 years at a university in the States, and now I'm trying to finish a degree while on the move with the military. Any advice would be much appreciated!

I just graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Nutritional Sciences. I want to go to pharmacy school however my GPA is 2.5. I have always wanted to be a pharmacist but I wanted to get my degree first and enjoy my undergrad life. I also had to work to support myself and I was also the president of a fraternity. I know that pharmacy school is very competitive and I am willing to do what it takes to raise my GPA. I am a Pharm. Tech. right now and just took the PCAT on Sat. What are my chances to get in anywhere? My scores in my science classes are not that bad however I do have some C's which I am going to retake. But im afraid that even if i retake those classes and get all A's it still wouldn't raise my GPA to a 3.0. They take in consideration all classes you took and not just prereqs.Do pharmacy schools take it in to consideration that you are actually trying to better your situation and that you are showing maturity or is it that you had your chance and you blew it

I'm in my 4th year at UC Berkeley and I feel like an idiot. I got a B+ on one of my midterms, and today I took another midterm for another class and I don't think I did well despite studying 3 days all day. I am so tired of school.

Prior to university I was easily in the top 3 students at my high school. There were 400+ students in my class. I took 11 AP exams and passed all of them, mostly with 4s. I got a 730 SAT Math, 700 SAT verbal, and 800 Writing SAT II.

Basically it was effortless. I had a 4.0 with studying, but I everything was somewhat "easy" for me including Calculus.

Now that I'm at university, my GPA is only a 3.7. I maybe bombed today's midterm despite studying for 3 days, and I feel like an idiot. I just feel very ashamed because everything was so easy for me before. Am I now dumber or what?

I really want to go to law school, and that's why I need to keep my GPA up. I can't stand getting B's, and I am so irritated when I get them. It just bugs me.

I'm 28 and I've been thinking about going to college for either political science or a 4 year business degree. Last time I took an IQ test, I scored 131, so I'm not too worried about failing. I have strong family support, so there's no worry that I won't be able to afford it. My two biggest concerns are:

1. My age, I feel as if it's to late to be going for a 4 year degree at 28.

2. I suffer from a bad case of social anxiety. So I worry that I may have to do a lot of presentations and public speaking in front of my classmates. The social anxiety has prevented me in the past from attending college, but I'm starting to get it under control with some medication and therapy sessions. Either way, college is a big step, one that will bring on the anxious feelings.

Maybe I'm just looking for affirmation. Anyway, all answers much appreciated.

...not to mention, participation in three school sports, one private sector job, one state government internship, enrollment in two AP classes, and three college classes?

I'm actually asking this on behalf of my younger brother (aren't I nice?)

We come from a middle-class household in small town Kentucky. I know he can easily make it into any of our public universities. But, how about these schools, too?
A. Vanderbilt
B. Ohio State
C. Tennessee
D. Emory
E. Virginia

If he was to make it into any of those four schools, I know he'd definitely have to join the ROTC to have a shot of having most of his education paid for. But, is it worth his time in the first place to apply to those schools?

All serious input welcome!

I am a freshman in Las Vegas. I take Geometry I Honors, Biology I Honors, and English I. I am getting all As or high Bs this quarter. I am misplaced right now in English. I am going to try to be in American Literature Honors next year. What is my chances of going to any of these schools? What steps do I need to take to go into one of these universities? I can afford it. Also, I went to middle school in NJ, all honors and straight A. Any suggestions of good schools I can go to? When do I take the SAT?

My B.A. is in Political Science. I currently work in Kentucky's legislative branch; have been doing so for three years and have already received two pay and rank promotions; I work very hard. I served twice as an intern in state gov't during my undergrad years, as well as interned twice in Ky.'s Education Cabinet and once at a law office.

These are the MBA programs I'm interested in:
1. University of Kentucky
2. University of Louisville
3. University of Texas (Austin, but the McCombs School has campuses in ATX, D/FW, and HOU.)
4. University of Georgia
5. Western Kentucky University
6. Eastern Kentucky University
7. Texas A&M University
8. Emory University

Are there any other schools you might suggest given my stated criteria? Thanks!

The speed of a freight train is 10 miles per hour slower than the speed of a passenger train. The freight train travels 390 miles in the same time that it takes the passenger train to travel 480 miles. Find the speed of the freight train.
Give a numeric answer only, rounded to the nearst tenth of a mph. Although you may also find the speed of the passenger train, do not include that information with your response.

Hey, I am a junior in high school with a really bad past behind me.
I really want to get into NYU, however, during my sophomore year of high school I fell into a depression from which I just recovered. Let's just say I screwed up big time. I have to repeat a course, thats how bad it got.

but here is my "resume"

G.P.A. (as of right now)- 2.9 (it was a 3.7 my freshman year....I did really bad sophomore year.)
I've taken all honors, except for geometry in freshman year.
I failed Honors algebra 2 in 10th grade, I'm repeating regular algebra 2 this year.
I really want to major in journalism or law.
I'm in Student council, Asian student Union, Big Brothers Big sisters, FBLA and class council.

I have all A's this year though =] (so far)

I know my chances are really slim, But i've been trying really hard this year, and I would love to go to NYU.

Hello, I am considering applying to grad school and most of them have said that, in addition to a good GRE score, they also recommend a good GPA for the last two years of your undergraduate studies. Why do they do this? Do they also consider your earlier years? Do the last two years make much more of an impact than your earlier years?

The reason I ask is that my first year in college wasn't that great. If I improve in my upper-level classes, will I still have a chance for graduate school?

Thank you very much.

Hey all! I need some help deciding which grad school exam to take. The Post-graduate school to which I am applying allows me to take any of the following. LSAT - GRE - GMAT - Miller’s Anthology.

Here is the catch... I have a decent head on my shoulders (I am finishing my second Bachelors degree), but I REALLY am quite terrible at Math.

If anyone can provide some guidance on which examination might be the easiest for someone who is more essay / comprehension minded I would greatly appreciate it.

I often think that the time has arrived for colleges such as the University of Phoenix as this relates to the growing trend of adult higher education in environments suitable for adult learners. As the growing need for individuals to work beyond retirement, or upgrade their credentials and who have proven their abilities as a result of years of professional experience; former academics and the impression they show in interviewing for admission, leads me to believe institutions of higher learning suitable for adult learners are becoming increasingly in demand. For example, as a result of Phoenix pioneering the concept of adult learning, online-training and learning teams, practically all traditional colleges have included this format in their academics, realizng that the need for adult learning environments enables them to remain competative in a highly competative market.

at my nursing school asked another student how old she was and then told her she was too old to be in the program. I don't know exactly how old the student is (and I don't think it matters). I am also an older student. I can't make this instructor mad, she grades my clinical activities. What do you think I should say if she asks me the same thing? Do you think I should speak to my class instructor (also the program chairman) if she does, or go right to the Dean of the school? OR should I go to the President of the school?

I am a sophmore in high school. What should I be focusing and thinking about now?
I want to know what to do after high school, like what college to go to, etc, to become a veterinarian. I also want advice from any vets or anyone that can help me or give me information, tips, etc.

Also, what are some veterinary colleges in USA? All I know about is Cornell, which is extremely difficult to get into. It is however, my dream school. So any tips would be great about getting into here.

And how does this work, do you go to a 4 year college first, then veterinary school?
Does it matter what 4 year college you go to? Whats a good one that will increase my chances of getting into vet school?

What are my chances of getting into a veterinary college? To help you answer this one, look at the additional information.
