I just graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Nutritional Sciences. I want to go to pharmacy school however my GPA is 2.5. I have always wanted to be a pharmacist but I wanted to get my degree first and enjoy my undergrad life. I also had to work to support myself and I was also the president of a fraternity. I know that pharmacy school is very competitive and I am willing to do what it takes to raise my GPA. I am a Pharm. Tech. right now and just took the PCAT on Sat. What are my chances to get in anywhere? My scores in my science classes are not that bad however I do have some C's which I am going to retake. But im afraid that even if i retake those classes and get all A's it still wouldn't raise my GPA to a 3.0. They take in consideration all classes you took and not just prereqs.Do pharmacy schools take it in to consideration that you are actually trying to better your situation and that you are showing maturity or is it that you had your chance and you blew it

Because I am not made of money and can't afford to retake classes at a University, will it hurt me that im retaking classes at a community college?

It should not hurt you. However, when the adcoms look at your application, the flags are already raised due to the low GPA. Try repeating some classes at junior college, esp organic chemistry and physics, the 2 big classes that most students do awefully bad in. I understand that you want to get into pharmacy school. If you are serious about this you may want to visit http://www.GetIntoPharmacySchool.com for more information on how you can do this. I recommend buying the ebook and read it and ask thr author any questions about pharmacy admissions.

Good Luck!

Your chances are next to nil at this point. You can retake the courses at a community college, and whether or not the school will view it as a negative depends on the school. It also depends on your PCAT score.
