not that theres anything wrong with it. I saw there page on princetonreview.com and they dont even consider your gpa in admittance. i think its a good idea not to put too much weight on gpa but to not consider it at all? and its a huge party and football school. i think they give out more in football scholarships than academic scholarships.

GO PSU!!!!!!!!

I went to college for one semester and did very poorly. I passed one class and gained 4 credits. In high school I was a fairly decent student that took AP classes and participated in lots of activities/honor programs. I did poorly in college due to depression problems that I won't get into right now.

I was wondering if it was allowed to reapply to colleges using only my high school transcript if I was willing to lose the 4 credits I gained while attending the first time. Some of the colleges I looked into said that they only consider you a transfer student if you gained atleast 12 credits (and I only have 4). If not I'll have to go to community college before I can transfer (due to my now low GPA) to a better college which would take more time for me to graduate and due to limited financial aid available at community college would actually cost more. Beyond that our local community colleges are very poor with bad professors and boring courses so I would rather not go back there.

He teaches graphic design and is VERY critical of everyone , not just myself. But he told me to stay after and I could not , I had to pick up my son from daycare.I knew from the first day this was not going to be fun and unfortunatly this teacher teaches all classes that are related to my major. The entire atmosphere of this class is negative. What should I do?

Is November (perhaps during the first week) too late to ask professors for letters of recommendation for a MA degree application that has a January 15th deadline?

I would appreciate answers from professors who have had to write them in the past and know how long it takes and/or is preferred.

Right now, I am 6 credits away from getting my assossicates degree in business from University of Phoeniex. I will finish in December and I know UOP isn't the best school so I wanted to transfer to another school in Southern California.

Which Cal States or other school would you guys recommend in order for me to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. I currently have a 3.54 GPA and will have 60 credits before I transfer to another school.

In high school I never took my SAT's or ACT's so I am not sure how that will play out as a transfer student. I know I will most likely not get accepted in any UC's...please help.... :'(

you go, you pay thousands (sometimes hundreds of thousands) and sometimes you cant even find a job. the books are incredibly expensive, as are the classes and fees, etc.....and the education is worthless as you work in a call center or mcdonalds somewhere.

I'd like to become a social worker in the future but I'm not sure what to pick as my major. I know, it should be obvious but would taking sociology give me a better range of jobs?

One of the colleges I'm applying to offers a reduced tuition for Sociology but not Social Work and I have noticed that many others don't even offer Social Work!

What's the difference between the two? Which should I pick?

I would have thought it would be really hard to get in but the website didn't have any scores or grade point averages... all thats mentioned is A levels
I am a 3.2 student with a lot of extracuriculars

would I get in?
is there something I'm missing... a big reason I wouldn't get in...?
