I'm a virgin and I'm not and never will be a drinker. But it seems like that's all they do in dorms in order to have a good time. Would I still have fun if I gave it a shot?

College freshmen at most universities are required to live on campus unless they commute. Therefore, there will be plenty of people in a dorm situation who don't necessarily drink a lot or have sex all the time. You just need to seek them out.

If you do seek them out, dorm life might well be the best time of your life.

OF COURSE!!! Most colleges even offer a section of housing for non-drinkers (at my school, it's called healthy-living). Even in a traditional dorm, you can have fun anyways. Sure drinking is a big part of college for some people but there are plenty of other people who you will be able to have sober fun with.

You can still have a good time living in a dorm (I'm assuming you mean in a college dorm as opposed to a boarding school) without drinking and/or having sex. I personally am not a big drinker, and limit my sexual activities. It's true that most college students drink, but you can still have fun in your dorm without doing it. If you have entertainment in your room (such as TV/playstation) you can always have fun with those. I'm sure, if you look around, there are other people who also don't drink and you can have social events that dont include alcohol in them (you dont always need to engage in beer pong to have fun). In terms of sex and wild things going down in your dorm... again, true.. that's a reality, both girls guys often do bring other girlsy/guys to do sexual things with, but you can easily avoid it. If your roommate happens to be heavily involved with that, you might want to try and talk to him/her. Also, you can always spend more time out ofyour room, if things get too out of hand with a roommate/other hallmates. Hope this helps!

I can't help but think that you are very much in the minority when it comes to drink & sex at university. As long as your roomate doesn't mind you being the party pooper, then go ahead and scowl at their drunken antics and glower at their post pubescent, health threatening promiscuous romps with their fellow students; Though remember this that you will never ever achieve again the freedoms that university life affords you, so live your life to the full, indulge all your senses and stick a finger up at them that asks why. My best bet is that you will quickly get used to the comings and goings of dorm life....So cheers to a few years of raging promiscuity, and 'hic' to many long hours spent nursing a botttle of the amber nectar, because my dear student, the day you wave goodbye to those hallowed halls of learning is the day you say hi to a lifetime of boring, repititious, mind blowing mediocrity. You're going to spend at least the next forty odd years of trying to please your dull and lifeless families, friends and associates who make up our worthless society. Have a bloody good time and don't forget to drop by the campus health centre on a frequent basis to get yourself checked out.

If you dont like it, then dont do it. You dont have to force yourself to. That's what they do for their life, thats fine, thats their life. They want to waste it? Its alright! When they're in their senior year they'll be like "omg I cant graduate". Thats when you come in and tell them, "haha, screw you!"

There are good peers and bad peers. Even if everyone's doing it, it doesnt mean its right to do it. If you dont like what they do, that means they're not the friends you should be with, go get some better freinds.
