It's just one. I took a Speech class that I don't need. The dealine not to receive a W was 3 days ago. Will this affect me.? Someone asnwer me I'm stressing over this real bad.

You are fine with one, but don't make a habit of it, because several W's make it look like you repeatedly did poorly and had to drop classes (and no, a W does not figure into your GPA at all).

Just one isn't that bad. It just gives you no credits without hurting your GPA. I have one on my transcript. I work at my college in the honors department and asked my boss, the head of the honors department, about it and he said one or two is okay but more than that isn't. Even though it doesn't hurt your GPA, you don't want to earn W's repeatedly.

Failing is worse because it showed you came to class and going to class tells people you could had a family problem or something.

Yes, and it might factor into your GPA as a 0.00. If it is a speech class it will probably benefit you even if you don't need to to graudate.
