With SAT's, ACT's ,many colleges to choose from and finishing high school, how can we not be stressed about the whole college thing?? Im in great strees. And its nice to know that entering college is getting more difficult and competitive. I'm not the smartest kid in school but what im seeeing is that nowadays mostly the smartest people go to college. I know not all of us are geniuses, so don't you think they should give us a better chance of getting into college?? I'm not saying that colleges should lower their high standards but they should make it more accessible for everyone. also, college is so expensive i dont even know how im going to begin paying for it 'cause it wont be enough with one job. am i alone on this feeling??

I made an appointment with the dean of admissions to discuss my application and see what I can do to improve my chances of acceptance next year. I am pretty sure that I was not accepted because of my Mcat scores. Everything else, GPA, volunteer work, extracurriculars, letters of recommendation were strong. The problem is I took the Mcat 3 times. I studied to my greatest ability (took a prep course, took many many practice exams, knew the info inside out), and I have no explanation why my scores were so horrible (except for verbal was ok, I recieved a 10). My family says it is because I was going through a rough year (two close family members died, among other things), but that does not matter to admissions, and I don't like excuses. I know that I have the potential to be a great physician, I have the dedication and drive, but my scores ruined everyting. I already have some kind of idea on what I will say, but has anyone else been in a similar situation, and do you have any suggestions?

I definitely want to practice law in Miami and i have been accepted in University of Florida and The college of William and Mary in Virginia. Florida is ranked 41 and W&M is ranked 27. Would it be a better choice to attend school in florida since that is where i want to work or should i go to the higher ranked school that is located in another state?

Is one considered better/more advanced than the other? How many credits are required by each and how long does it take to complete each program? Is one more expensive than the other in terms of tuition costs? Is one more difficult than the other? What are the advantages/disadvantages of both? Which one is preferred better by employers? Are there more job opportunities and higher pay involved with one of them? I'm a Finance major - so which would be better for me to pursue? Also, if I will obtain a CFA license, should I still consider going for a Masters or MBA? BTW, eventually I'm aiming for a PhD in Finance - how many credits/years does it require? Serious responses only, please! I will be very grateful to the person who can provide constructive insight to my questions.

I have a huge, embarrassing problem that I havent told anybody because its just so unbelievably pathetic and shameful. Im a first year at uni doing psychology, started in october 06 and i hardly EVER attend lectures.Combination of reasons-going in makes me panic big time,i hate it and although miraculously im keeping on top of work,I only go in wen i have to.I have this thing where i cant leave the house till after about 2pm.Its like im afraid of leaving the house early.Driving me mad.Im not liking uni and i dread going in when i do (about once a week).Im scared, worried and confused. Hope im not the only one like this!Dont know why i cant just get myself into lectures but the thought of going in everyday is daunting. How do i start getting myself to lectures and enjoying them too!Help me out, any advice or comments are welcomed!Need to know why im like this, i feel like a bat.
