I'm updating my CV for the first time in a year, I studied for 2 years at uni but didn't finish my degree, how would you write that on your CV under education?

You'd usually write that one of two ways:

1) Either you list the university with the dates attended, but no mention of a degree, or
2) You also write "attended".

So it could look like this:

Education
--------------
University of Ohio, 1998-2000, Biology

And that would be acceptable.

Change the dates and don't mention that you went to university OR provide a good reason why you dropped out. This could include that the course wasn't right for you. Just don't mention that you found it too difficult or you couldn't get down to work.

Just put the course, dates and institution. Tell them the truth if they ask at interview. Or spend £85 for a dodgy certificate off of the net.

write college attended

Just say you "attended" X college.
