Harvard has a better reputation, academically, than Oxford does, although they are both among the top 10 universities in the world. So, therefore, you can decide based on other factors, including:
- Which do you think is a better fit for you?
- Which has a stronger program in your major/field of study?
- Which location better appeals?
- Which culture?
- Where do you plan to work (or go to grad school) once you graduate?
- Which is more affordable for you?
The two schools are very different - not only in terms of culture and location, but even in terms of method of instruction. The university system is quite different, UK versus US. How classes are taught is different. For example, in the US, you have class with other students, and a teacher leads them. In the UK, it's more of an independant study type of situation. In the US, if you want to change your major, that's not usually difficult to do. In the UK, it is difficult-to-impossible to change once you have entered a program.

Oxford every time. Much more sophisticated. I went to Oxford and had great time and the old boy network has served me well time and time again, It's not what you know that matters, but who you know!
