Does Irvine Valley College have an agreement with UCI that guarantees admission to UCI?
Is it very competetive? Does anything lower than a C on your transcript make getting into UCI difficult?

I am 19 and I want to become a Nurse Midwife. I am currently in college right now. I am going into nursing but I have to be put on a list to be in the nursing program. I am in pre-nursing right now but the waiting list goes up to 2010 and my name isn't on it yet because we have to meet certain standards first. I just wanted to know if there is anything else that I can do to become a Nurse Midwife a little faster.

Here's the dela poeple, I have been living with my mother for the past year to save up money. I don't especially enjoy living with my mother, I am 42 years old and am an adult and want to get back on my own. I want to go back to school and staying here would help me pay tuition, but the price I pay is my freedom.

The other part is going back to Florida where I lived for fifteen years. There, I have been accepted into UCF and Rollins College. With UCF however, I was classified out of state because I lived in california for the year. with Rollins, it's private and I have the money, but am not superthrilled with the program even though it does lead to a MAsters in Liberal Arts and I could still teach and write and do non profit work. I would also be working full time while going to school.

So what should I do? stay with mom, in her house with her rules and guilt trips, but not incur a debt with tuition or go back to school in Florida where my friends and life was?

I'm in a community college right now. I'm torn between getting an Associates Degree in Business Administration or Accounting. I really like both but I need to pick one that I could get a good job with after graduating. Since I plan to get a bachelors degree, I really want to be able to pay tuition with the money I'd be making so I won't have to get a loan out. Plus I'd like to help my family a bit with bills.

The Accounting Program in the college I attend offers an AAS degree and an AS degree

The Business Administration is an AS degree

Is that a good decision? Would going to a school like UCLA help my chances of getting into Berkeley later?

I'm an undergrad majoring in psychology and public policy. I am having the hardest time figuring out which one I should go to grad school for. A psych degree is useless unless you get a ph.d in it. But I want to do more with public policy. I want to work with alcohol and alcohol education, teen ages, educational policy, I want to change and create policy in these areas. And I have yet to have found a dual-degree with the two combined anywhere. Any suggesstions?

I plan on transferring to a UC after two years of cc (to major in Chemistry), but is it a good idea to get an associates degree in Physical Sciences (Chemistry)?

I was told that it is best to major in Biology or Chemistry if you want to become a Pharmacist... oh and about credits transferring, they do. My local CC works on a program with all the UCs so that students can transfer in their junior year.
