I found a web site called FastWeb.com and it's supposed to help you find the right scholarships, but it's asking me for my house address and it's required to put it there, but I'm not so sure if I should enter it. Does anyone know if it's safe? If not could you give me some advice about applying for scholaships? Thanks!!!

okay, so basicly someone told me that you have to be famous to get in. Well I'm not so does that make it harder for me to get accepted? Also they said that if your not rich or famous but still have the good grades maybe you could publish a book or something. Well I just wanted to know if any of you guys have an idea of wht I should do to get more chances, aside from publishing a book.

I have already gotten accepted to UC San Diego, Santa Barbara, Davis, Irvine and I am waiting to hear back from the rest.

I do not know where the best place is to go because I am a pre-med student and my major is biochemistry. I have friends who attend Berkeley, Stanford, and Davis and they tell me to go somewhere easy so my GPA will be high and so I will get into med school since they are struggling pre-med students now.
I plan to study all day (as sad as that sounds) and not party at all because I am very determined...however, I know sometimes this does not reflect your grades (since many still fail their tests)

Please give me valuable insight. Thanks guys.

I'm getting a degree in communications. What about pharmacy or engineering. I think I will have to double major, because I dont see how I will survive off of a communications major.

I am currently a sophmore in High School and my plan is to major in Marketing at New York University. My reason for wanting to attend NYU is because I believe that more opportunities are available in NYC, compared to anywhere else in the US. Am I right? Will I be able to get an internship while in college.. and a job right after? Is New York the right place to start? Please, I need some advice.

there is a problem.

I applied for an Honours Degree with Primary teaching and my core subject was meant to be English. But because English was a very popular subject for candidates to choose, i had to pick an alternative subject as well as the English; i chose Maths.

After giving my interview and doing compulsory English and Maths tests, and a face to face interview, i got a letter with a conditional offer.

But it doesnt seem to state which subject im meant to be teaching....English or Maths?
It does say something like "During the interview process it was noted that you would benefit from developing your knowledge and understanding of mathematics..."

Does this mean i have got the Maths course, or does that mean i did bad in the maths test and i just need to brush up?

The University of Florida Faculty Senate just voted not to award Governor John Ellis ("Jeb") Bush an honorary degree.

The first part of my question: Is this decision politically motivated, in your opinion?

Second part of my question: Should politics play a role in whether an honorary degree is awarded?

Third part of my question: What should -- or what else should -- play a role in determining whether an honorary degree is awarded.

If you bothered to read all of this and actually provide a thoughtful answer, thank you...you might just get best answer.
