I am going to college next year and have been accepted to a local college for the nursing program. Problem is, I want to be a teacher so bad. My mom is pressuring me, telling me nurses get paid more. I know that they also have bad hours and it is so hard to pass in college. what should i do?

You should not let your parents pressure you into a choice of career other than what you want. Not only will this make you less motivated during school but it will be something you may end up regretting for the rest of your life and it could cause you to harbor resentment towards your mother which could strain your relationship.
Part of being a parent is realizing that your children aren't exactly like you and aren't going to do the exact same thing that you would want to do in their situation. Your mother probably means well, and wants you to go into nursing because she wants you to have a secure and well-paying job.
Try to think about your mother's perspective and understand where she is coming from--this will help you to talk to her and relate to her. Ultimately, she will have to accept your decision, but you can help her to understand you and where you are coming from.
There are many benefits to being a teacher. Teachers often have more job security than most professions. Their work hours are short, although they must do a lot of work at home and on weekends. However, they also get the summers off. Also, experience as a teacher is very well-respected, and it is easy for teachers to move into other careers. Being a teacher will also keep you intellectually active and learning, so that you can learn and master new skills if you want to switch into a new career later.
Keep in mind though that being a teacher is also very difficult. It's not an easy job...you need to be very good at learning, at explaining ideas to other people, and also at handling difficult situations with people.
If you think you can handle it, one of the best options would be to try to be a math teacher; there is always a shortage of good math teachers and if you have certification and are good at math, you are virtually guaranteed a job in most districts! It's slightly harder to get other teaching jobs, but if you aren't picky about where you live, you will always have options.

Follow what you want to do. Is is worth being paid more but be miserable? I love it when I see teachers that teach simply because they love it and we need more teachers like that. Good luck.
