Does Irvine Valley College have an agreement with UCI that guarantees admission to UCI?
Is it very competetive? Does anything lower than a C on your transcript make getting into UCI difficult?

The main reason for IVC's existence is so that they can send their students to UCI. You will need a GPA of 2.7 to 3.0 depending on your major and 60 units of transferable classes that are specified by UCI. Since the PAIF program guarantees admission, you are really competing against yourself.

If you received something lower than a C, you can retake the course and the better grade should count. There may be a limit on how many times you can do this so ask an advisor. But what you are looking for is an overall GPA so even if you received a bad grade in a few classes, good grades in other classes can make up for them. Talk to the transfer center because I think you are supposed to sign some paper first.
