Not really "requirements," but I lacked a better word.
Anyway. I know there aren't really set GPA's one has to get for most colleges, but I was wondering what is usual/recommended for Reed (Portland, Oregon.) And maybe SAT scores too. That sort of stuff would be helpful to know.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone here have experience with UI online? A friend of a friend is completing her degree online and claims that the online curriculum is much stiffer. According to her, the school is eager to promote their online U. and can only gain credibility by making it tough. True? False? Any first-hand experience?

(so u dont have to do ap science twice.)is that true. PEASE HELP

I been hearing that most of the classes in high school are hard but to me they are easy. I think that when people are in advanced classes then its a bit difficult and challaging. If something comes up hard then I'm willing to be challeged.

CSU meaning California State University, **SU meaning a university such as San Fran State U (are those two the same types of colleges?), and UC, of course, meaning University of California. I'm wondering about the difference in terms of education. Do you really learn more or better at a UC than you would at a lower-status college?

I work hard in high school and would like the best for college, but thinking of the cost and the worth of brand names . . . are UCs truly what I should shoot for?

I had a buddy sign me into my english class today and the professor wrote me an email saying she didn't see me in class and wanted to know if I had someone sign me in. I was just wondering if she can get the school involved or if she can only count me absent for skipping her class? The proffessor is Asian, not an Asian-American, but an Asian. She gets mad at us because we aren't as dedicated to our education as people from where ever she is from are so she might be strict about it...

I'm starting to look at colleges, I want to go to a small, alternative college, but my grades arn't amazing (3.0 maybe).....i think I'll do pretty good on the sats though, because I scored high on the Psats (73 verbal, 90somthing percentile overall) but is that enough to get me into one of these colleges, most of which have a 3.8 avg gpa?

im in 8th grade, and im planning out the next four years of my life. i have very little ideas about where to go, except that my dream and goal of life is to be an actress. im also a bit interested in interior design. im thinking of majoring in acting, and minoring in interior design. got any colleges that might be good for me? i've googled fine arts colleges, and visual & preforming arts colleges, and not had very good results. a website would help greatly.

I am currently enrolled at UW-Madison which is a Top 10 University and has a very difficult and strict grading system. For many reasons I'm considering moving to Florida. I have heard in the past that many Universities weight grades coming from UW and other Top Ten's as well as Ivy League schools as they are aware their curriculum is much more difficult than their own. I have had no luck getting ahold of anyone at the UCF office who could begin to answer my questions. Does anyone know if this is true? Do many schools weight grades (thus improving your overall gpa) if you downgrade from a difficult university to a more lenient school?
