after school activities are a privledge- you have no right to them. littering is a violation. you break rules - you loose privledges. welcome to the real world.

If the littering was done while providing after school activities, and this problem has been address before, I can agree with the principle taking away this activity. Another reason would be the problem of littering has been address and the students didn't abide by the "no littering" statement then that would be a reason to cut out the after school activities.

Well your principle must be really frustrated. Well I recommend for you to tell your principle how you feel and tell them other ways to stop littering. Why should we have to live with your selfish habits? I really think it is laziness, there are enough bins around our schools for you to cope or is it that you can't be bothered to go and use one! I always see students dumping litter on the ground. If you ask them why do they litter you will get "I dunno“well I honestly think it is in some way of there parents responsibility to bring up their children with good morels that includes respecting other people and the environment. Litter is in the legal sense, litter is any paraphernalia which has been unlawfully scattered or abandoned. Litter is often caused by careless or accidental treatment of debris and waste as opposed to proper disposal many companies have had to pay many thousands of dollars because of littering. We should stop our school by littering. They should provide the whole school on a Saturday to pick up rubbish and to show them how the cleaners feel. To tell you now it is not the cleaner’s job too pick up after us. It is our job to keep our tidy. The student councils are conducting an experiment to try and get our school to stop littering. Well the students in our school dose not even seem to care about our school.

to exercise his authority and show the he is in charge period. no discussion. my way or the hi-way sort of thing. If i wanted activities to continue somebody hsd best be cleanin the place up. and I dont think he is being unfair. I went to high school in the late 70's early 80's. and I think kids are coddled at school. I think a good portion of you people (NOT ALL) have no respect for authority and other people's property. a lot do and say what they want without having to be resposible for their actions. this principal sounds a little old school to me and maybe that is what is needed.Back in my day any athletic team would have picked up the trash to prevent this .
