Now here is a great way to get what you want and gatting paid for it.

Look online for hospitals that get you CNA certified. they will help you get it and you work for them for a certain amount of time to pay it off.
You also what to look and see if that hospital has a college program to help you get your Nursing Degree. Providence Medical Centers do this. they pay 80% of your schooling if you have good grades and well it goes lower if you dont. So in a way your also looking for a learning hospital. (kind of like the show ER but not so intense)
Now once you find one do some checking on this hospital and see what they have to offer as in long term. Health care and so on. They are all going to be different but Providence makes you vested after so much time working there that means if you work there fo rsay 10 years they will have a account set up with money they give you and not many people know this about some Hospitals at all. You want to check that out as well. Oh you can pull that money out at 5 years or more. My mom worked for Providence Medical center for over 19 years and she found out about the vesting at 15 years and god that was allot of money. So look at what you want in a long term way not short term. Cause Nursing is a needed profession that hospitals will give you pay to go to school and then work for them.

You dont have to get a scholarship for college if you do it this way. Oh and the hospital will even give you your pay and give you a housing allowance as well. Make sure you talk to all the Human Resources offices and get all the information on what they offer for paying for your schooling.

here is a link to Providence Medical centers see if one is near you if not you can look at a web page of one and see what I mean about them paying for your College (Anchorage Alaska is one that has this program I dont know about the rest) I used to work there and my mom does right now as well as my brother and sister.

you should find the nursing school you want to attend and talk to the person who advises the nursing students. they should be able to provide you with a list of all the prerequisites that are required for the nursing program and most will be able to supply you with a list of scholarships you can apply for. many hospitals will offer scholarships for nursing school if you work for them, in exchange for a certain number of years service after graduation, dependant usually on the number of years they pay for your schooling. there are many avenues available to attend nursing school, even the military will pay for nursing school if you wanted to go that route. call and make an appointment to speak with the advisor at the nursing school you want to attend and good luck.

I'm going to start Nursing School. I would talk to the Director of Nursing at a hospital, and they can tell you the best way to go about going to school. Good Luck to you. Also sometimes hospitals will pay your way through Nursing School.
