Univ. of Illinois Online Learning Experience?

Anyone here have experience with UI online? A friend of a friend is completing her degree online and claims that the online curriculum is much stiffer. According to her, the school is eager to promote their online U. and can only gain credibility by making it tough. True? False? Any first-hand experience?

Right now, there is no formal UI online program. The individual universities do offer classes online, but they are a part of the standard curriculum.
