I had a buddy sign me into my english class today and the professor wrote me an email saying she didn't see me in class and wanted to know if I had someone sign me in. I was just wondering if she can get the school involved or if she can only count me absent for skipping her class? The proffessor is Asian, not an Asian-American, but an Asian. She gets mad at us because we aren't as dedicated to our education as people from where ever she is from are so she might be strict about it...

What you did was dishonest and you got caught. Penalties for academic dishonesty can vary but they could range from a slap on the wrist to fairly severe repercussions.

Your best bet at this point is to take a deep breath, make an appointment asap with your professor, sincerely apologize, and promise that you've learned your lesson and it won't happen again.

You could have saved yourself alot of grief by just going to class. You've paid for it, so you are throwing money away by blowing it off. It sounds like you are also underestimating your professor and you've got a chip on your shoulder about it. Instead of bad-mouthing her for having high standards, why not challenge yourself to reach them and see what you might learn in the process.

I'm a professor. If this had happened in my class, I would be advising you to drop the course unless you could sincerely give me a good reason to give you another chance. This isn't about race or gender or cultural standards. It's about you screwing up.
