Higher Education (University +) - February 2007

I have a BS in Molecualr Biology, with a lot of Biology and Chemistry classes. I got all A's and B's in my science classes. I've been out of school since 2005 working as a scientict in the pharmaceutical industry and have been thinking about going to medical school.

I'm currently taking classes through UoP, but I'm thinking about transferring to a school that doesn't have such a mixed reputation.

I'm going for a degree in Communications or Business Communications.

If neither one of these universities, then can you suggest looking into any others?

hey everyone,
So Im taking 6 units per semester at my local community college because I work full time. At this pace it's gonna take me about two hundred years to get even an associate's degree. Some friends recommend that I go to a private college like Maric or Bryman, where you can get an associate's a lot quicker. Any advise? are these colleges any good? Can my already-earned credits be used at these colleges? What's your experience with them. Help!!

i cant really be bothered to go, i had a day off today coz of the snow but then the lectures were cancelled anyway so i wasnt marked as absent. the thing is tomoro we go to look at the dead bodies at the anatomy department, and although it is v interesting i cant be bothered to get up at 7 for it???

I am having difficulty understanding rhetoric and I asked my teacher for an example about teenage driving using rhetoric. I am going to use Phoneix online to get my degree in Criminal Justice. Everyone has bad stuff to say about them taking your money etc, but I am getting a grant to pay for all of it, so they arent taking my money, the classes are online, so I dont have to worry about a school near me. The school is accredited, so can you tell me what is so bad about that?

i'm majoring right now in a nursing program getting my R.N so i have something to fall back on.
However i am getting a biological sciences minor. (yeah microbio)
and taking my requirements for organic chem, physics and pyschology (humanities)

however, i have no idea what to do after.
i guess the common term would be the coroner, but i want to be the medical examiner.

so if anyone knows ANYONE that can point me in the right direction because my school sucks at that.

i guess medschool. but what major? forensics, pathology.

Ok,I'm not lying...it's the truth! I scored an 850 on my SAT back when I was in high school. That is suppossed to measure how well you perform in college, but it didn't! When I went to college I did very well, and I even received Honors!
So, now I'm applying to law school, and my LSAT score is not too pretty! I've studied and I don't feel like I'm lost or confused, but for some reason my practice and actual test scores don't really show that I know my stuff! I've heard that if I tell the law school admissions committees that my SAT score did not show how well my college grades would be, I can use that argument for the LSAT and law school. I will also be sending them a copy of my SAT results as proof!

Soooo, do you think this will work??? I've heard that it does, but I'm thinking what if EVERYONE used this as an excuse! How would they know who to believe and who is lying to them???

Tell me your thoughts!!!

I have to withdraw from a class because I am not doing to well in it. My GPA is good. I have a 3.6 and I do not want to ruin it because of one bad grade. Do med schools look down upon a W on your transcript? I have only one C+ and the rest are majority As and 3 Bs. I really want to go to med school and I do not want this to ruin my chances. I am currently a sophomore Biology major.
