If you must do online, I'd try and get into the online programs attached to traditional schools. Distance learning.

U of Phoenix, in particular, is being investigated right now for taking students it shouldn't.

...sure it's OK to get your degree....but you need to realize that ANY degree / diploma / certificate / whatever from the "University" of Phoenix is more or less worthless....in the eyes of the HR people of almost ANY company. The "University" of Phoenix WILL give you a degree...but it won't be recognized as being of any value in the workplace.

Its good for someone who cannot or does not want the hassle of going to regular classes.

It is a for profit school so you will may more.

You have to be very motivated and organized to complete any online classes. You have to do a lot of reading and posting. Many schools also put you in a team to work on a project.

And people who get degrees from University of Phonenix are not limited to working at a call center as one poster erroneously stated.

Not if you want anyone to respect you and your education. It is not reputable. If you wish to buy a diploma and not receive an education, it is a good choice.
