I have to withdraw from a class because I am not doing to well in it. My GPA is good. I have a 3.6 and I do not want to ruin it because of one bad grade. Do med schools look down upon a W on your transcript? I have only one C+ and the rest are majority As and 3 Bs. I really want to go to med school and I do not want this to ruin my chances. I am currently a sophomore Biology major.

They know you were likely doing bad in it. However, if you take the class again and do well, if you have a good explanation, it's not a big deal.

YEs I beleive they do! Depending on what kind of course....

They need to see that you are able to make decisions and balance a hectic and stressfull course without quiting....

THey want to make sure that you will handle the stress of Medical school I do not believe you have the luxury of pciking your course load once you are in some programs.... but at the end your GPA counts a lot... so make a decision so that you will not harm it...
1). GO fo extra help... consult the teacher for advice and tips on improving your grade
2)Drop the class but be prepared to write about the withdrawl some where on the Med school application (it will prob come up in the interview)

GOOD LUCK WITH Your choice!!
At the end everything works out!
