When the athletic career is over one can have a great career with a good salary, and the other one, well he/she can get a job for mid-level pay.
You NEED an education, even as an athlete, movie star, singer etc... because that doesn't last forever.

The one with the degree has more career options should he/she be forced to quit playing due to an injury.
