I want to go to UNC chapel hill. I don't know which track i wanna be on; AP or IB.

I currently have a 4.377 g.p.a. and I am ranked 18th in my class. But i am weak when it comes to the SAT. I only got a 1500/2400. So would it be better if i took AP classes or do the entire IB program to try to get in.

Wouldn't it be worse in some cases in I took IB- considering the lower average i might get than take AP classes ?

I will be graduating in December 2007. I know exactly what I'll go for so that isn't the issue. My friend and I were talking about how it seems like we just keep going and going and going with school and work and homework, how things are flying by and that we just seem to be rushing all the time. And we were trying to figure out why... what are we rushing to get to?

I've applied to 6 schools for transfer this fall. My current school (Temple Uni) was in a bad area, wasn't challenging enough, and had little community within the student body.
I'm pleased with the schools I've applied to, and know all have a strong graphic design program. I've visited them all as well, but I wanted to know if other people had an inside opinion on the school.

Boston University
Northeastern University
School of Visual Arts
Moore College of Art & Deisgn
University of the Arts
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Hello everyone,

I am the SG president of my university and I am planning for a Diversity Week for my school. Do you all have any ideas on different topics and events?

From the past research I have done I see that they focus only on race issues. For me diversity is more than just the color of your skin. It is your heritage, your religious beliefs, your sexuality, etc. I think we should celebrate that.

Any input on activities or speakers who you think would be great to bring on campus would be greatly appreciated it!

I am looking to attend a college for my associates degree in nursing. I am in mid-michigan(Houghton Lake, MI) and wondering what colleges I could commute to that are good. I am planning on going to Oakland University, after I get my associates and become an RN, to become a Nurse Anesthetist and I am looking for a college that Oakland would respect.

right now i am in grade 12. i go to a private school and take university type courses. my average right now is73 %. the universitites i applied to have a perequisite of mid 70's minimum but prefer high 80's. if i were to go to a regular highschool my average would be over 80. the other schools compared to mine do not learn as much. what other grade 12's in other schools are learning now i learned in grade 10 at the private school. the thing is people in the other schools have a higher average then me but i work harder then them and my courses are harder. my school has said the universities don't look at that but how can they not. i would b better prepared for university then the other schools, plus i am at a top rated private school. i need help because if i don't get in and some1 from another school gets in for getting a higher average then me but not having te same workload and academic lessonsi will be pissed. d you think Universities look at what school you go towould a70-71% getin

I'm applying to medical school next spring. I recently transferred out of my original college and am currently taking courses at a community college until I am accepted into my desired University this summer. (This is 3 transcripts).

Here's my question, I want to take the MCAT in the spring, and to do this I need to take 2 courses this summer. These courses are not offered in the summer at the University I am planning to attend. Would it look specious to a med school admissions team to see a 4th transcript form a college that offers the classes I need? I'd only be there for a semester, and I will end up getting As in these courses... Please help!

Currently there is a situation where a student is in a Master's program and the college is not releasing the ISBN numbers and forcing the student to go to the bookstore and buy the book. Is this legal and, if there is a law against it, where online would I find the law that points out the unethical or illegal nature of this action?

Last August was my first semester at a University from a Community College. I knew that I wasn't going to know anyone here but came on anyway to meet new people. This is my second semester now and I still haven't made a lot of friends and I just sit in my room bored. The University that I am now considering is where most of my friends and boyfriend transferred. I know that if I went there I would have more fun but the campus is bigger and the classes may be harder. I always look at other people laughing and talking to their friends and I can't do that. Should I fight it out for another year and stay here, being by myself and not having anyone to talk to or should I transfer and have that "college experience" like I had at a Community College? I do understand that "having fun" is not important and it is my work ethic but I think I might just feel comfortable. Really I'm confused. Help!!!

Would you please tell me a word, meaning “according to”? (as stated or indicated by)

The word is used in this context:
According to Mary’s report, submitted to John at 12:45 p.m. on Jan/01/2006 at his 300ft office, 6.2 feet, 41-year old white man Mark Clark abducted Laura, 8-year old white girl, at middle of 1st Street in L.A. at evening of Dec/15/2005, using his Toyota Highlander 06 Black model while she was walking toward her home from her elementary school, Walter Elementary School, on the street.

I searched a synonym for the phrase ‘according to’ about 10 minutes ago at following eight thesaurus websites, but could not find the word at the search:
answers.com, encarta.msn.com/thesaurus, infoplease.com, m-w.com, synonym.com, thefreedictionary.com, thesaurus.com, wordnet.princeton.edu.

Thank you for your time and help!
