At the end of the day no one else can make the decision, its yours to make.
However - you're there to study, not socialize.....and a year isn't really all that long to endure.

It's up to you. If having friends at school is really important to you - and it seems to be - then that should be one of the factors in your decision. As long as you think you'll do well at the other school, and you won't lose too much time by transferring, and it's a good school - if you feel it's a better fit because of the friends, then transfer.
For me, at least, part of the reason why I liked my university so much was because of the friends I made there. It had a great social scene, as well as good academics. I purposefully wanted this for my college experience. If, for you, it takes transferring to get yourself a bit of that vibe, then do it.
But have you given your current school a shot? What have you done to make connections with people? Have you joined any clubs, or intramural sports, or gotten a job on campus, or done any volunteer work, or joined a study group, or, if it's of interest to you, partied with your hallmates? All these things can lead to friendships.
The good thing is that you can go ahead and apply to transfer, and still try to make some friends at your current school. Join a club or whatever is of interest to you. See what happens. At a minimum, you'll still transfer, but you'll feel better about your experience at your current school.

I don't know. I am a senior in college, and have never made a friend in school. So, it probably won't matter where you go, (unless the other students are of radically different status, even then you should be able to find some common ground with someone). But I imagine that people are people and will go on about their business with or without you. Maybe you could join some type of club that interests you, or just strike up a conversation with somebody you would like to know. I have never joined anything or talked to someone that wasn't homework-orientated, but that's me. You will be just fine if you stay true to yourself.

Honestly, if you haven't made any friend it's something with you and not the school or any other person. Have you joined any campus orgs to make some friends or do u pretty much stay to yourself?

babe, if you want someone to tell you to stay then i am sure you'll find that somone.but babe, i say get your a** over to that other University and do NOT let "harder" classes or a "bigger" campus intimidate you-you'll have the support there that you do not have at your present school. a big part of the benefit of going to college is Memories. you ain't bought your'e ticket yet? j.s.

You go to school to learn! In making new friends, give it time, "someone might be to shy",or are , "just waiting for the right time". Enjoy the time there, "for it is the beginning of your new life." Get , or try new things, then adjust and go on.
