I am looking to attend a college for my associates degree in nursing. I am in mid-michigan(Houghton Lake, MI) and wondering what colleges I could commute to that are good. I am planning on going to Oakland University, after I get my associates and become an RN, to become a Nurse Anesthetist and I am looking for a college that Oakland would respect.

An associate degree in nursing qualifies you as a registered nurse the same license as someone with a 4 year degree. As for becoming a CRNA you have to do more than just apply look at their website for the qualifications.

Good Choice. My daughter is going to OU for Bio/Chem, and it has an excellent nursing program. William Beaumont Hospital in Troy (very good hospital...I work there)has a very good training program through them. And it's close to OU.

Check out these two links.
