Starting college was something new to me and when people told me that college was a piece of cake, I seriously believed them-call me naive. Any who I am doing ROTC and I didn't do so hot this fisrt quarter so I took time off to get my act together, try to learn from what I am doing wrong and learn from it, find something that works for me. I was doing good in the beginning of the quarter, and still am in a couple classes, but yet I am not going to the full capacity I knew I could go to, or at least try to be at-because sometimes at the end of the day I feel so useless. Basically a paper was do Thrus. and this chick told me it was due Mon. And I came to class Thrus. unprepared, and it was due. So I spent the weekend working on my paper and my teacher said I would start at 70% percent and go from there. I turned in the paper but forgot the rubric. He basically said I need to get it together and he is right. Any techiques or word of advice on learning to be a better student?

Is pursuing a masters harder than pursuing a bachelors? Before I started pursuing my masters at UOP two semesters ago, friends who were pursuing masters at other traditional colleges were telling me that pursuing a masters degree is much easier than pursuing a bachelors, but now that Im pursuing my masters, I, personally have a different story. I have never felt so frustrated and stress in my whole entire life. Pursuing my masters is just draining me, I dont know if its UOP's course work load or their expectation because I only have class one day a week or maybe its me, maybe I just jump quickly into pursuing my master's degree but Im like seconds from transferring or just quiting altogether. I swear. I had a minimal passing grade in my first class, and I swear I deserved at least a C.I always loved school and I use to promote school alot to younger children, teenagers, and even my friends and family member but now I dont really talk about school like I use to. Please, I need inputs

Please name Colleges/Universities that does not require a GRE for entrance in to their master's Program in colleges for the midwest? I am attending University of Pheonix, but I do like the program at all and really want to transfer (I went there because UOP didnt require me to take the GRE and the staff enrolled me on the spot) I dont want to take the GRE? If I have already taken MBA classes will another school still want me to take the GRE?

I am a student of foreign country, but I have been learned my major for 2 year and half, as I entered the unversity so fast, I didn't know what I like most, so I chose a technology as my major, but I become more and more realize that I am not interested in this major, I decide to change a major of art, but here there is no chances for me to change another major execpt that I start from entrance exams to the college here, but I am a little tired of this situation in my country, and I am not used to this system of education any more. I want to apply a unversity in US and study the major I like.do I need to take the SAT test, I am not sure it is needed or not?
Can anybody help me? thanks.

I have loved to read since I was a little girl. I am a relatively fast reader, and I have always scored high on standardized tests of comprehension. I would say in general, reading is usually a strength of mine. Reading novels, literature, poetry, non-fiction, biographies, stories, ANYTHING I can read with ease EXCEPT college textbooks! Its very weird, because when it comes to reading my college text I am completely unmotivated because I have such a hard time concentrating. The chapters are so long, and the content is so full of vagueness, jargon, and mostly information I find to be boring or presented in a very dull and/or complicated way. When I read my textbooks I don't feel like I'm truly absorbing much of the material at all. I zone out, my mind drifts, and I feel like I CAN'T control it. I'll read a page, pause to review what I just read, and find I have no clue.

Please help, has anyone else experienced this? What can I do to overcome this problem?

I feel like I about about to burst. Okay I am pretty much your typical college student. I am a sophomore/junior studying English (now). I started off in biology, then switched to graphic design, then certification in bridal consultanting, now English, and I am about to change to Communications. I was pretty much forced into biology but I really aspire to go into advertising, hence the remaining majors. But now I am at the breaking point. I have already had 3 internships, 5 leadership positions in the thousand organizations I am/was active in, and at least 15 credit hours a semester. Now I have a part time job at blockbuster that is a living hell. I feel that I need to take a semester off from college but that is kind of hard to do taking that most of my college is funded with scholarships and I don't want to loss them. What should I do? Should I take a break what decent paying job should I go into so that I am not just sitting at home (have to help the fiance pay bills)? Help!

I am an undergrad at a public school (UC) and want to go to dental school. However my GPA is no where near the average to get in. I have not taken the DATs yet and have talked to my counselors but they do not seem to really care what happens to me after I graduate.

I dont really know what my options are after I graduate with a BS in bio sci. What can I do to help my chances of getting into dental school? Is dental school still even a realistic possibility? What other programs are available to me if i dont go to dental school?

I heard they purposefully make the class easy and are super nice because they want and need good student evaluations at the end of the year, so that they can get a pay raise and/or get tenure. Is this just a myth?

This is my first time selling by posting up ads (I usually went to the buybacks or sold online), so I just wanted to know how everyone set theirs up to get an idea.

So far, I have:

Book Title
Edition
Price + Condition

Call: (my number)

Is that pretty much it?

I would also appreciate any advice on a good way to set it up so that it looks clean and organized. Thank you!
