This is my first time selling by posting up ads (I usually went to the buybacks or sold online), so I just wanted to know how everyone set theirs up to get an idea.

So far, I have:

Book Title
Edition
Price + Condition

Call: (my number)

Is that pretty much it?

I would also appreciate any advice on a good way to set it up so that it looks clean and organized. Thank you!

One more question - Were they bought for a high price from selling this way, compared to buybacks and online?

Jaredavs - Yeah, I've looked through campusi.com (where the cheapest prices show up) and the prices for the ones I want to sell are way too low, so I feel like my chances of it selling for a high price will be a lot better if I sell them at school.

Three suggestions:

You may want to add your email address rather than just phone. But that's up to you.

You also may want to add the name and number of the course in which each book was used. (If I were going to take a class next semester, I'd know it was PHIL 101, but I wouldn't know which books I'd need.)

Finally, make sure that at the bottom of each poster, you have the word BOOKS and your phone number (or email) written about 10 times on vertical tabs, cut to be removable. With this feature, people can just pull off a tab with your contact info (and a reminder of what this info is for) rather than writing it down.

Hey I am not sure what you can get for your books at your school but you might want to check out amazon.com because all you have to do is type in your isbn and you can see how much it is selling for. I usually get much more for my books on amazon. Just a thought.
