3) Medicine & health sciences
5) Applied Sciences
6) Law
7) Business

Well....I have a weighted 4.00 GPA, and my grades will improve this semester, hoping to get them up to at least a 4.29 :)

I have taken Practice SAT's, and am going to take much more before the real ones, with about a score of 1800.....

Are these good for going into college(I'm a sophomore....)?

Also, next year I will be in all weighted classes except 2 or max 3....so I could have around a 4.57 or better :) (they're pretty easy classes....I'm sure I'll get almost all A's if not all, but let's pretend I do....)

Also, how much volunteer work do you thin I should do? I've done 3 events so far....is that good?

Please help me!

Thanks

(p.s.-The schools I'm really interested in are Berkeley, UCLA, and Cal Poly....for the 2009 beginning year.....)

I do not know what a MRI Tech is, but I think it is related to X-Rays. So can anyone tell me what this is? Also, any radiographers, radiologists,X-Ray techs can you all tell me what you do also? Also can you all tell me the risks in dealing with X-rays and the risks in your jobs?

I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could give one's opinions of the grad schools for composition in U.S.

I'm looking for a school which is fairly flexible in its admission (unlike some conservatories). It should admit a student based on predominantly his works and not his background or transcripts.

It should be very open to "interesting music" (not those extreme ones, though) and has a conducive environment for the music to blossom. In other words, it should be eager to produce another great contemporary composer (like Ligeti, Corrigliano, Tan Dun...etc) and not another Mozart.

It would be great too if someone can further expound on any fellowships, assistantships given....etc and how likely it is to get one.

Thank you.

What do you wish you would have brought to make your life easier. I'm not talking about the big things like a computer or car but the little things that you dont usually think about. Is it necessary to bring utensils and dishes when there is a cafeteria? What about the mattress? Do they give you one? Or is it best to buy your own new one? Any other suggestions you can give me? Thanks!

The class is called Electronics Laboratory for Scientists. The teacher said no one has ever gotten seriously injured. I am scared of getting shocked. How worried should I be? I have to take the class for my major (physics).

I want to apply to Kent State University. I live in Pennsylvania (about 4 1/2 hours from KSU) but my parents really don't want me to go, at least that's what I think. Every time I want to do something, like get info on KSU or anything like that, they tell me about all of these stories from when they went to Penn State and how they don't want me to pay so many loans and things, they don't think I can get scholarships or grants to help me. I have at least a 3.8 GPA and i'm going for Music Education. I really don't want to stay in-state, but I can go far up north too. What can I do? I don't want to tell them off or anything like that, but I want to get them off my back, I want to go to the college I want to go to. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I would love to be an ambassador. I love being involved with the world, and I believe diplomacy would give me a great career. Therefore, I was thinking of taking International Relations as my major. However, my specialty is math. I am not going to lie; I am a math whiz. I feel like that if I study International Relations, I would be wasting my math talents. Is there a major or career that has both diplomacy and mathematics combined?
