It TOTALLY depends on the college you're interested in since each college tends to have different requirements....
Go to collegeboard.com, and you'll be able to know what scores your colleges of choice want.
But you might wanna aim for something above 1100 (verbal + math alone, I mean), but if you don't get that, do NOT feel discouraged; you can always take it again, and do know that they combine your highest score from each section :D!
Tougher, more prestegious colleges look for students with an SAT score of over 1200 and a GPA of ... say, 3.6+. But, again, it depends on the college; some may accept 2.0 as well.
Best of luck!

As from what I've read in others' posts, you have a very high chance at all except for BU based on your stats. Now, I haven't checked College Board or the BU website regarding actual SAT scores, but I would suggest that, if possible, you try and raise your SAT score just a little or take the ACT and see if you do better. Your SAT score is by no means terrible (in fact, it's rather good), but the more you can increase your score, the better chance you have at securing admission. Your G.P.A. is very respectable and as long as you keep up the hard work and take challenging classes, I don't see any problems. Now, onto the important part of your application: your essays. From personal experience I have found that your essays make or break you. In essence, if one of your essays is literally one-in-a-thousand, your chances of admission sky rocket. Make them truly original and eye-catching, so that if for some reason you are on the boarder of being admitted/rejected, you will have evidence for why they should accept you. Best of luck. Went through this process last year.

That depends entirely on the college. To get into ivy leagues, you pretty much need 4.0 (at least) and very high SAT scores. Other schools, however, will take you with a 2.5 and 900 SAT. Check with the school you want to go to.
