I want to graduate in 24 months. To help my school allow this, I am soliciting any information on students that graduated in 24 months, instead of 2.5 or 3 years.

Here is why I believe all schools could (and possibly must) allow it: The ABA Standards for Approval of Law Schools says, "Almost all Standards and Interpretations are mandatory, stating that a law school 'shall' or 'must' do as described in the Standard or Interpretation."

ABA Standards for Approval of Law Schools, Standard 3.04(c) (implemented in 12/2005) states "A law school shall require that the course of study for the J.D. degree be completed no earlier than 24 months and no later than 84 months after a student has commenced law study at the law school or a law school from which the school has accepted transfer credit."

Interpretation 1: literally, each law school must alIow students to graduate within 24 months.

Interpretation 2: law schools can require a JD degree anywhere between 24 and 84 mo's (logical?)

I am currently looking into my options for either an MBA or MFA for Film (Producing). I want to know what is the lowest cost I could find b/c there are many very expensive programs that I can't afford. It can be domestic or international. A great program I found was in S. Korea for an MBA for $8,000 for 2 years, but I'm just trying to do a little extra research. Thanks to everyone in advance!

He taught me last year, but not right now anymore. However i was still taking course in his department and by his collegues, does that mean that he still has some indirect power over me? because when i asked him out he said he need our relatinship to remain professional, but he said i am a lovely woman and enjoys talking with me when i visit his office.... he is 32 and single and i am 21, he just been in our university 2 years, he is an assistant prof now
but i guess even he is not my prof now, it is still bad for his reputatioin and these things are frown upon? so i should probably wait until i leave school or not taking course in his faculty anymore ? also, does he sound he is interested in me?any possibility?

I was taught never to write in the 1st person, always the 3rd + even in reflection I still really object to 1st person. Any tips on suitable terms I could use instead of this author believes.... etc. I need to be relevant to my thoughts and I obviously need to have the same use of tense all the way thru the assignment. Any help gratefully recieved!!

I'm applying to law school, and my last boss, who is an attorney said he would sign a letter of recommendation for me, that I had composed myself, since he's sooo busy. He said he would add some info to it also.

So, what kind of things should I write in the letter. I was a legal assistant, so I filed, answered phones and did other projects and office work. I was there for over a year. Go ahead and give me anything that you think would sound good and I'll alter it where necessary!

Thanks a lot! :o)

I am completing my frehamn year at a small prestigious university 5 hours from my home, where I am on partial merit scholarship. the people are nice, the classes are challenging but great. However, I'm not happy; I cry all the time and have even been diagnosed with clinical depression by the counseling service here. Over winter break when I was home with my parents I was happy for the first time in a long time. Now I am considering transferring to NYU, from which I can hop on a train and be with my parents anytime I need to in 40 minutes. However, NYU is very expensive but I have a best friend from home there to live with. What should I do? Please give advice.

I'm graduating from highschool this year, and going to university.
I was thinking of taking a physics degree but I'm afraid that i'll turn out like one of those people who doesn't even use their degree.
I could be a physiotherapist, or a doctor or a teacher, I don't know what I want to do. Nothing seems to fit.
How do I know what I want to be? I don't have a dream job, and I'm scared I'll never find my perfect fit.

How do I decide?
How did YOU decide what you wanted to do in university?

It seems like everyone else has it all figured out except me.

Next year i will be going to university to study a finance related field. I will have to take business calculus and related math courses. What type of calculator would your recommend; graphing or scientific? I don't want to put out $100+ for a graphing calculator if it is not necessary.

If you don't know the exact person, or even title, that the letter will go to, what do you write? When is the phrase "To Whom It May Concern" appropriate?

In particular, I'm giving a letter to a friend (sealed) so he can send it to a college when applying for admission. I don't know if it will go to one person or a committee. And he may send one letter to the admissions staff, but another letter to a scholarship committee (then again, maybe I should write a separate letter for that situation?)

OK, look.
I've discovered that I actually like certain aspects of chemistry. +
I'm pretty good at Math. Given +
I'm taking microbiology, and I'm beginning to feel like it's going to be dreadful. Very -
Probably because I'm rushing certain courses like this one and anatomy, physiology, like those, while TAKING Bio 1 simultaneously, not HAVE TAKEN Bio 1 b/c I've decided my mind up in the spring semester to take pre-pharm courses, and our school doesn't offer Org Chem 1 or Phy 1 classes like those in the spring. So I thought finishing up available Bio classes will decrease the pressure for next fall.
Conclusion is I THINK I like Chemistry, Math, but NOT Biology. I know they're somewhat interconnected, but in some aspects they're different. So would that preference be detrimental in the possible future pharmacy curriculum in the actual Pharm school?
What do you guys think?
