A degree in anything will be worthless if you let it. I know people with degrees in business administration, educatio, biology, music. Some of them are "somewhere" and others are "nowhere." Your degree can only open doors for you . YOU must take you through those doors.

Below, I've linked you to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, which is a publication of the US Government's Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Good luck to you.

I was told that when I get my BA in Criminology, I will be able to work as an investigator with Child Protective Services. Also, I am qualified now (A.A.S. in CJ) to work in the juvenile services field as an Intensive Supervision Officer. Other careers: police officer (with academy attendance), insurance fraud investigator, loss prevention in department stores, etc, security guard, corrections officer, and I am sure there are others. If you look up the Occupational Outlook Handbook on the web, I'm sure you will find more info.(You can also go on to law school, etc.)

Most Law Enforcement Agencies require college degrees and above for any candidate who wants to advance in the Chain of Command.

(I agree with the first answer, too)
