For you UC Berkeley students or affiliates....
My younger sis is a community college student who's getting ready to apply for transfer within one-two semesters. (She currently attends Berkeley City College)
She wants to transfer to UC Berkeley. So far she's done pretty well in all her classes...good grades and so on...

MY QUESTION:
Do you know of any activities/internships/programs she can get involved in through/at UCB ...you know, to become more familiar with UCB and maybe up her chances of admission? Anything that will allow her to get involved with the UCB community eventhough she's not a student there? (she lives in Berkeley of course)

Any info is greatly appreciated! I don't have any ties to UCB, and I am not sure what to advise her.
Thanks :o)

Two days ago all the student clubs and other organizations in my college were handing out information and membership forms in the hallway near the entrance of the school. I picked up a paper about an "honors society" called Phi Theta Kappa.

According to the paper, those with a GPA over 3.5 and over 12 credit hours can join this entity. It also said that there are numerous benefits such as scholarships and "Phi Theta Kappa" will appear on your transcript (which is supposed to make you look good for when you transfer I guess).

It sounds good and I have the qualifications to join. But they ask for a $65 membership fee and to be honest something just feels really fishy about this whole organization. The fact that they hardly give you any information about what they do and keep pretty much everything about the group in the dark unless you are a member is also suspicious. It feels as though I'm joining some sort of cult or something. But then again, I could just be paranoid and this could

I plan to become a guidance counselor, but I intend to do a graduate psychology program (either counseling or educational psychology). Are there any programs that will help pay for my schooling like there are for students in the nursing and finance fields? Or are there any jobs I can get straight out of college that will give incentives or help pay for my graduate-level work? I know of volunteer programs and others like Teach for America that offer loan forgiveness and will cover a certain amount of your loan costs, but are there ones specifically for people in the education field? All help will be greatly appreciated.

It seems like mine isn't complicated enough, but my topic is pretty basic. I'm studying the effects of a particular tax on some small business statistics. Just some basic corellation calculations. How does one elaborate on a simple concept? I haven't worked with my committee yet, but I feel like my paper may be too simple.

Can someone solve this for me?? I cant solve it. Also if you can explain it to me that would be nice. It's suppose be like a math problem.

Liar, always lies
Truth-teller, always tells the truth
Ambiguous, sometimes lie, sometimes tell the truth

First person: I'm the ambiguous one.
Second person: That's not true.
Thrid person: I'm not the ambiguous one.

I've came to the point that it's one fo these 3 answers, hopefully.
1. liar, 2. Ambiguous, 3. Truth-teller.

1. Ambiguous, 2. Liar, 3. Truth-teller.

1. Liar, 2. Truth-teller, 3. Ambigous.
