I'm not planning to major in music, but I want to perform in the choir at the University of Houston?

How do I make this happen? And is it allowed?

I went to U of H in the late 1980's and I knew a guy who was a Pharmacy major and sang in the choir. He had sung in High School and took Choir as an elective at U of H.
